Poverty and Food Insecurity in Wisconsin and Dane County

This report identifies the growing trend of poverty and food insecurity in Wisconsin.  The state has recently experienced two major recessions and a rising unemployment rate, which has resulted in many of its residents struggling to meet basic food needs.  In this report, Katherine Curtis and Judi Bartfield explore the underlying causes of growing poverty levels, who is affected most by food insecurity, and what can be done to slow the trend.  This report is particularly relevant to county-based educators, local governments, community organizations, and citizens of Wisconsin.
